Obituary of Lillian Henderson

HENDERSON, Lillian Jeanne - Age 89 of Madison was born January 19, 1919 and died January 5, 2009. Preceded in death by husband of 38 years, Olon Hall Henderson; son, Cary Robert Henderson. She is survived by son, Eric Olon Henderson (Emma); Step-daughter, Lillian McSwain (Gary); 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 6 nieces and nephews; 2 sisters, Barbara Richey of Olympia, KY. and Marilyn Dunstone of St. Clair Shores, MI; very special cousins, Robert, Cathy, and Karen Sue Culver of Silver Springs , MD. Mrs. Henderson was a Federal Govt. Employee for 30 years in the Division of Animal Health. She was part of the original fundraising team for Nashville Memorial Hospital in Madison, TN. where she subsequently served as a volunteer for 15 years. Mrs. Henderson was an active member and volunteer at Madison Senior Citizen Center; a Cub Scout den mother; a member of the Old Hickory Country Club swim team and Ladies Golf Club. She was a member of ST. James The Less Episcopal Church, Madison, TN. Visitation to be held Wednesday 5-7pm and Thursday 11am until 1pm service time in the chapel of Madison Funeral Home. The family requests that memorial donations be directed to the Cary R. Henderson Scholorship Fund, Biology Dept.; Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, TN.
