Obituary of Tennie Mae Doty

Doty, Tennie Mae Brownlow, 86, December 4, 2008. Preceded in death by parents, Leonard Mai and Martha Ann Jones Brownlow; husband, Robert Leon Doty. Survived by sisters, Elizabeth Hudson and Georgia Ann (Sid) Durham; nephews, Gary (Chris) Hudson, Sidney (Mary Ann) Doty, Howard Doty; great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Doty was a native of Giles County, TN. She was a graduate of Minor Hill High School, Class of 1939 and Draughons Business College. She was employed at Washington Manufacturing Company for over 44 years. She was a member of Woodmont Baptist Church since 1947, worked in preschool department since 1950 and served on the History and Archives Committee for several years. She was a member of the Golden Rule Sunday School Class. Visitation with the family will be at Woodmont Baptist Church, corner of Woodmont Blvd. and Hillsboro Road Saturday 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. with Dr. Jon Roebuck, Dr. Bill Sherman, Rev. Steve Durham and Dr. Bert Dyson officiating. Honorary pallbearers, Golden Rule Sunday School Class and Preschool Department and deacons of Woodmont Baptist Church, Windy Robbins and Gail Congdon. Active pallbearers Dr. Don and Maurice Bull, Sidney and Howard Doty, Brett, Andrew and Christopher Durham, Ryan Attanasio. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
