Imogene Hosmer McGee passed away in Nashville, TN on February 26th, at the age of 85. Jean shared a life-long love affair with her husband Charles McGee for an amazing 64 years. In fact, she only graced this earth for 28 days following Charles' own journey to heaven and their life together was an unrivaled love story that thankfully ends, with them reuniting for eternity in God's kingdom. Jean is lovingly remembered by, daughters Wanda Bishop (Robert) and Corlis McGee, grandson's Chris Bishop (Jayne) & Brent Bishop (Krissy), and great-grandchildren Davis & Kate Bishop. Jean was born in Adger, Alabama on December 9, 1927. She was one of 13 brothers and sisters, often personally caring for them later in life when they experienced their own health or life concerns. Her passion for baking and sharing those treats with family and friends was legendary. Holidays were simply not the same without her famous lemon cheese cake or her chocolate dipped, peanut butter balls and many of those creations didn't last for more than a day. Quilting and sewing was also a gift she possessed and shared with many in need. A memorial service will be held on March 2 at 10 am at Hermitage Church of the Nazarene, 4151 Saundersville Rd, Old Hickory, TN 37138 with Reverend Howard Plummer officiating. Guests that wish to visit with the family are invited to arrive as early as 9 am. Donations may be made to the Charles and Jean McGee Scholarship at Trevecca Nazarene University, 333 Murfreesboro Road, Nashville, TN 37210.
