Obituary of Jerry Simmons

SIMMONS, JERRY WENDLE, 72, died August 28, 2011. Preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Annie Simmons; Brothers, H. G., Jimmy, and Gilbert Simmons; sister, Shirley Sue Lawrence; brother-in-law, Roger Barnicle. Survived by wife, JoAnn McCool Simmons; daughter, Connie Edwards,; son, Forrest "Bubba" (Katrina) Russell; grandsons, Shannon and Rusty Edwards; Granddaughters, Keri Edwards Goben, Shelby and Kelsey Russell; brothers, Frank (Christina) Simmons, Don (Betty) Simmons, Glenn "Bubba" Simmons; sisters, Patricia Barnicle, Gayle (Archie) Adams; many nieces, nephews and friends; special acknowledgement of friends and co-workers of CIC where he retired from. He was a life time member of Madison Elks Lodge #2473, a member of American Legion Post #82 and a long time member of the B.V.- E.N. #560 Masonic Lodge F&AM. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason where he served for three years as the Worshipful Master of the Blue Lodge at 8th and Broad St. Visitation with the family will be at Madison Funeral Home Monday 4-8 p.m., Tuesday 12 noon - 8 p.m. Funeral services Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home.
