Our family is saddened to learn that Mrs Evelyn Llana has passed. She was a precious friend to our family beginning some 55 years ago. She and our mom, Mary M Smith, LPN began their friendship at Nashville Memorial Hospital OB-GYN where the two teamed to be a phenomenal force in that unit. Their commom endeavors extended past work where they shared parenting and working mom endeavors with daughters...lots of daughters..Mrs Llana having five girls and our mom having four girls complete with cheerleading, weddings, graduations, all those important shared family events are still cherished. We remember well the Christmas cookies Mrs Llana would make that were so delicious. Their friendship continued well after retirement and they would get to see each other at the OB-GYN holiday dinners and at the famous Skyline (formally NMH) credit union Christmas party. Mrs. Llana always remembered our mom and sent the prettiest and unique greeting cards. We are grateful that the two had such a good conversation by phone just a few weeks ago. Her gentleness, kindness ever present smile was always like sunshine lighting up the room. Her legacy is firmly planted and evident in her beautiful daughters and family. We praise God for her life and are happy and confident that we will see her again one day.
