Our Dad is gone this is the hardest thing we have ever had to deal with. If there was ever a proud humble person, our dad was it.
And he was far from perfect, But he was perfect for us. But that’s what made him a good dad—and the right dad for me and my brothers. He was Someone who knew the importance of being good, but who also knew that your worth was not tied to how good you were at being good. That’s what we needed. And I think that somewhere deep within him, he knew that too.
Thank you for working so hard to provide for our family with a comfortable lifestyle growing up. Thank you for teaching us the importance of humility, and the remarkable power of emotional and financial generosity.Thank you for loving and accepting my husband. Thank you for loving and accepting me and always making me feel like I am good enough. Thank you for showing us what is means to be a good man, a great teacher, and an outstanding father for the past 34 years of my life.I am thankful for his homemade wisdom—spoken not with fancy words, but with unpolished rough-around-the-edges realness.I am thankful for the abiding love he had for his kids & grandkids. With these things in mind, on this side of the soil, we will never see his face again. I am thankful for all of you: the ways you have cared, and will care. We will see you on the flip side pops
