Obituary of Thomas Leon Hicks

Thomas Leon Hicks of Nashville, TN went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the age of 83.

Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Jane Hicks, his parents, Benjamin and Lavoner Hicks, two brothers, J.D Hicks and Eldridge Hicks.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Morris Tidwell and his sons and daughters in-law, Jason and Denise Hicks and Ricky and Camille Hicks; sisters, Fran Dalton and Lavada Rhoten; granddaughters, Meshon Hicks and Emma Grace Hicks; grandsons, Ben (Priscilla) Hicks, Brent (Alicia) Tidwell, Blake (Jaclyn) Tidwell and Andrew (April) Hicks; great granddaughters, Elauna, Aowyn and Lorien Hicks and Ruth Tidwell.

Mr. Hicks was retired from Aerostructures with 33 years of service. He was an active member of Turning Point Church where he served on the Church Board, Children’s Ministry and was involved in the Van Ministry for over 40 years.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 3pm to 7pm at Turning Point Church 1011 E Old Hickory Blvd., Madison, TN and where funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 4 at 11am with visitation starting at 9am until service time. Pastor J. Kurtis Burton will officiate.

In lieu of flower donations may be made to the Living A Legacy Building Fund, c/o Turning Point Church.

Interment will follow at 2pm in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Murfreesboro, TN.
