I was saddened to hear of the passing of sweet friend, Smiti as we called her at 50 Forward/Bellevue Y.
She was in our Rhythm Band and played the sticks: also in the art class there too. Smiti, Ms. Smriti Bardhan was such a kind, talented, courageous, lovely lady; We all Love and will Miss her.

It is sad to know the demise of geneticist Dr Smrithi Bardhan, whom I had known in 70s, but had lost touch subsequent to her move to US. Though never met her in person was lucky to have reprints of her papers published in cytogenetics in 70s. It was by chance I happened to Google her name now. Great person and laudable contributions to GENETICS.
