Obituary of Mary Etta Brewer

Mary Etta Brewer of Nashville, TN passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the age of 92. Preceded in death by her father and mother, Hilliard Thomas Lyons, Sr., and Ludie Adelia Jenkins Lyons; brothers, Oscar, Ernest, Hilliard, Jr. and Adolph Lyons; two son's-in-law, Wayne Gupton and Ferrill Breeding. Mrs. Brewer is survived by her son, Durand (Jennifer Piper) Brewer of Clarksville, TN; daughters, Ginger Gupton of Ashland City, TN and Cynthia (Allan) Belue of Madison, TN; brother, Raymond (Betty) Lyons of Madison, TN; grandchildren, Derek (Josie) Breeding, Colleen Vance, Tim (Ashley Williams) Gupton, Sierra (Cory) Buchholz and Christian Brewer; great-grandchildren; Zane, Anna-Maria and Carter Breeding, Emily (Frank Miller) Vance, Isaac and Evan Buchholz and Oliver Gupton (due in March of 2018); three step-great-grandchildren, Ryan Bartlett, Sam McCurry and Quinn Gerard; four special friends, Kathy Breeding and Della and Dave Edwards and Martha Hickerson. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She died as she lived; "Standing on the promises of God". The family will receive friends on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 3pm until 8pm in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home and where her funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11am with Rev. Tommy Ferguson officiating. Grandsons and Great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at 1pm in Newland Family Cemetery, Ashland City, TN.
