Obituary of Gerald Melvin Fillman

Pastor Gerald Melvin Fillman of Gallatin, TN passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017; he was 91. Pastor Fillman was an ordained minister in the Seventh-day Adventist Church for over 50 years, serving as teacher, singing evangelist, and pastor in numerous conferences and districts. Pastor Fillman is survived by his loving wife, Naomi Jensen Fillman; son, Gary (Melissa) Fillman of Eustis, FL; daughters, Rita (Jerry) Wagner of Crown Point, IN, Debra (Gray) Coyner of Catlett, VA and Kathleen (Jim) Brummett of Rocky Mt. NC; brothers, Donald (Dolly) Fillman of Collegedale, TN, Gene Fillman of Vinita, OK and Noel (Dianne) Fillman of McDonald, TN; sisters; Melveena Johnson of Vinita, OK and Bernice (Alvin) Lee of Sapulpa, OK; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 31, 2017 in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home from 5 to 7pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10am Madison Campus Seventh-day Adventist Church 607 Larkin Springs Rd, Madison, TN. Pastor Ken Wetmore will officiate. Visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Grandsons and sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Bordeaux Adventist Memorial Gardens.
